Capitalism is the Future

When the Constitution was drafted in 1789, it solidified that the US would be the freest country known to man. These principles that were put in place more than 200 years ago are still in place today. However, these principles are under attack. Our system has worked for so many years, why dismantle it now?

Currently, the United States Congress has members, primarily from the Democratic party, that want to dismantle our system and create a “democratic socialist” system where everyone earns the same, cancels student debt, and raises your taxes. These are egregious problems for America and it is something this nation cannot afford. Members like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) and the rest of “the squad” all want America to be a socialist country. They do not stand up for working-class Americans just trying to get by. While some Americans would fall for these tactics most hard-working Americans are aware that what the squad is spreading is mistruths and it does not benefit anyone living in the US.

Just recently, AOC unveiled a new shirt that reads “Tax the Rich” meanwhile the shirt costs $65 but was later brought down to $58. It is quite ironic that a shirt that reads tax the rich is so expensive. AOC receives more than $174,000 a year for being a member of Congress. In reality, the buyer of the shirt would be giving money to another wealthy member of Congress.

The American people work hard to make ends meet. One of the first lessons my parents taught me was “the more work you put into something the more you will get out of it.” This was instilled at a young age that if you work hard you will achieve big things. Growing up in an Italian-American household one of the biggest traits in my family is to work hard. As President Trump once said, “If you work hard, if you believe in yourself, if you believe in America, then you can dream anything, you can be anything, and together, we can achieve anything.” America has lost this way of thinking and believes the government will always be there for them.

President Ronald Reagan said it best by saying “Government’s first duty is to protect the people, not run their lives.” Many people have seemed to forget this quote. As many Governors, State Representatives, and Mayors all across the nation are dictating what the American people should be doing during the Coronavirus pandemic. For example, Governor Phil Murphy (D-NJ) mentioned on Tucker Carlson Tonight in April that the Bill of Rights was “above his pay grade.” Murphy took an oath of office back in January 2018 where he stated “I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of New Jersey.” Murphy has failed to uphold his oath of office from his statements in April. Anyone who says what Murphy said while holding an elected position should never serve in government at any level.

Just recently, Phil Murphy went after the New York Young Republican Club (NYYRC) for holding a gala in Jersey City. Although proper precautions were taken before and during the event, Murphy still decided to go after the club. Calling the club fools. Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz was also one of the attendees. Murphy went to call him a “knucklehead.” This is not the first time Murphy has called someone a knucklehead. He has used the term throughout the pandemic to describe someone who was not listening to his Executive Orders. the people can decide for themselves what is best for them.

Without Capitalism, we would lose America. Americans fight hard for their liberties every day! It is time for all Americans to stand up for them. Please consider watching this short PragerU video on why the US should preserve Capitalism.
